1996 Ford Windstar with the 3.8,
First time that this happens slow shifting and did not shift ubtill 3k rpm's, should I replace the transmission fluid and filter car has 96k miles.

Is there a check engine light on? Is it consistently doing this or is it just intermitent? I would check transmission fluid level and condition of fluid (does it smell burnt). A full transmission flush and filter would be a good recomendation for a vehicle nearing 100,000 miles.
