96 ford ranger sensor question

Above the glove compartment there is a low oil relay assembly. It should have the numbers 6c625 on it.

the "thingy" does not have anything to do with oil... it has a two wire connection and is at the endpoint. It was attached to the back of the plastic cover. It has the number 3455 stamped into it. I'm still not sure what it is.

A few diferent ones have diferent numbers. Is this what you are talking about?

Nope that is not the part I am talking about. It seems as though this part does not exist except on my truck...hmmm I am trying to up load a picture but everything is being difficult.

The pictureI had sent you is of a oil sensor relay and the part number is 3456 it is located above the glove box and when the oil pressure gets low turns on the oil light. See if you can get the picture and will look it up.

It looks like a air bag connection but will check it out

Well after much digging and searching I figured out what this little DOO DAD is... 95 through 96 passenger side airbags were an option. but the trucks all came off the line the same way. So what did ford do to solve the issue of the missing airbag... They just put a 2 ohm resistor in place of a airbag. They call it an airbag simulator, or so I have read.
Its nice to know that you can find these, albeit rare gizmo's, and completely deactivate you entire srs system by just plugging in a 2ohm resistor.

Well I learned something today, was going to get in touch with fordman and ask him since he mostly lnows fords questions. Us moderators try to work together to find answers. Thats what is nice about it. When I first starting to drive all they had was a engine with plugs, carburator, points with no little do dads to worry about. They were quite easily to figure out.
