i just had to r&r original engine, it was replaced with 2002 mazda 626 engine which bolted right up. now less than 3 months later the transmission has gone out is ther any chance this was caused by matching it up with the original ford transmission, or do you think it was mere coincidence. should i replace the transmission with a ford tranny, or would a mazda transmission bolt up to original equipment everywhere else without any retrofitting?
