check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it. should be 60-66 psi then check for a vacuum leak. these are basic steps that should be performed with initial diagnosis. should only drop to around 55psi when shut off.

Didnt check for fuel pressure. A shop did the other work n had to something to the distributer to get 0 can retard. Something to do with grinding on it because it gets turned to far n hits where the clamp goes. Guess when chain is getting a little lose? Tried making smoke gun for leaks. Just seen very little once by back corner passenger side from by throttle body. I can rent fuel gauge tomorrow n check that. Thanks

read the last reply I sent. if you don't have the minimum of 60 psi it causes all the problems you are having.

I f you put in a new pump and still not getting the pressure it can be a few things what is the pressure now? it can also be the fuel pressure regulator. It can also be a plugged fuel line filter in the tank which I am assuming has been replaced with fuel pump.and I never got your last reply........

Running was 53 and off went to 49. It had it all replaced about a year ago. Tank was clean. Filters was clean. I blew thru line filter. Easy. Before pressure dropped to 20. Running never changed. Runs the same as it did before I changed it

I already sent apic of the regulator if you cant see it above it is usually on the pass enger side of intake. If you cant' see it now then it is under the top piece of intake. see pics. if your line at tank looks like one in pic this may be your problem as well. also if pump was not installed correctly will be a problem. Other than that I can offer no further assistance or replies .
