Grinding noise from front end. I've replaced caliper, rotor, both inner&outer wheel berrings, tie rods, all but ball joints; could that be the problem? Never heard a ball joint grind this loud.

Are we talking about a rolling noise that only occurs when the car is moving or a noise triggered by turning from a still position?

That doesn't answer my question. Does the car have to be rolling to create the noise?

OK, that eliminates ball joints. That leaves you with tires, front or rear bearings or something contacting the rotor as it turns like the backing plate being too close.

I replaced the wheel berrings (inner&outer) and took the backing plate off so it wouldn't touch the rotor. And the tires are new. Any other ideas?

No, there are no there rotating parts. You seem to be ignoring the rear which could be your problem.
