the heat is cold but the tempature shows my car running at the temp of 260. the car is not over heating. Please help.

car is overheating at 260. check coolant, thermostat and make sure you did not damage the head gasket

Roy, I will go check everything right now. Thank you so much for the help. I'm out of work and can't afford to have a shop fix my car so I'm flying solo.
