Hey I have a 1996 Chevy cavalier which I just had the engine replaced on. The engine put in it is a 1997 cavalier engine and I guess GM changed the connectors for the crank position sensor from a 3 prong connector in 96 to a 2 pronounced connector in 97. I was wondering if I should change the ignition module on the 97 engine or should I put the 97 harness / pcm in my car.

Try using the harness, module and PCM for the 97
