The vehicle does not decelorate very quickly when I remove my foot from the gas pedal, also when I first start motor and put into drive the vehicle will move off without having to use the gas pedal. Is this normal?

When starting from cold, the cold start system would increase the idling rpm so if you put it in gear, it would move forward as if you are pushing the gas slightly.

For deceleration, it would not immediately decelerate and would be gradual as the system is designed thus to prevent vehicle bogging down suddenly and also for emission control.
