number six plug wire arched out on exhaust manifold. now replaced all plugs and wires and #6 coil pack and really bogs down when trying to accelerate above fifty miles and hour. can't figure out the problem.

all you needed was the wire. Remove the number six wire at the coil. The engine should bog down when you remove the wire at the coil. Then when you reconnect it is to pick back up. Repeat this with all the wires.you should have the same results.then come back.

how do you know it's a number six wire misfiring? Try swapping number six wire with another one and see if it changes any.

Okay, this is how it went! New plugs and wires went on then the number six arched out so I replaced the wire still did same thing so I changed the co pack still does same thing like it loses compression at about 3,000 rpm's. now I'm thinking it's the injector that fouled out! Should I replace the whole fuel injection rail or what I'm lost trying to figure out what next to do?

We need to find out for sure that this is still misfiring on cylinder 6. We can do that by checking codes. Then if you have a scan tool then you need to monitor the injector pulse width to ensure it is the same as the others. If the cylinder is misfiring the PCM should be altering the pulse width to try and compensate for the misfire.

At that point, I would swap that injector with one from the other bank and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder. If it does then you know that injector is the issue. If not, we need to keep digging. However, I suspect that is the issue assuming the misfire is still on the same cylinder.

I attached the process on how to replace the injectors so let's confirm what cylinder is misfiring and swap the injector. Let me know what you find. Thanks
