power seat fuse

Every now and then the fuse that is for the power seat, mirrors, and interrior lights blows. At first I didn't notice what could be doing it but the last 2 times it happens when using the power seat button on the side of the seat. It is the control for the tilting of the back of the seat. Should I replace the switch or do you think there is another issue. It doesn't do it everytime I use the switch but seems to only blow when adjusting the back of the driver side seat. could I switch the passenger seat switch with the drivers to test the switch?

check the wires under the seats. They may be damaged and rubbing causing you the fuse to blow.

I tried using the controls on the door on arm rest nothing works, also tried the control on side of the driver's seat and nothing happens. please help!

You need to track this down like any other electrical problem. You follow a wiring diagram and test the circuit. You really need some electrical knowledge to be able to do the testing and understand the wiring diagram.

i have a 96 buick park ave w electric seats. seats stopped working, replaced circuit breaker, still don't work. Is there maybe a fuze somewhere or what?

No... Check to see if there is power to the switch. If there isn't, start tracing the wiring back to power supply. If there is power, make sure it is getting to the motor. If it is, chances are the motor is bad.

the control panel was broken off the passenger side power seat. It still works but I am unable to figure any way to re install it, since it is plastic the mounts are broken off and I can't get the broken parts out of the mount on the seat. I thought about removing the seat so I could acess the underside better but am unsure how to go about removing the seat assy. I checked a couple manuals at the local parts store but they were no help at all...

The power seat motor on the drivers side runs when I push the up/down button but the seat won't move . I looked at motor and the shaft (wormgear) is not turning . All other motors Driver and passenger function properly. Is some checks I can do to before yanking it out ? It does not look too hard but I am sure there are some tricks to make it easier that I do not know. Thanks for your help.

If it was me I'll disable the other barrel it only comes in play over 2000rpms-by steps when it goes in this is where the main metering is operating and power valve.

You might have to change I/manifold or find the adapter.

Probably stripped the drive. Remove the entire seat (4 bolts) and flop it over is the easiest way to repair a seat
