i have a 96 audi quattro 2.8l, i was driving the other day and i went to take off, the clutch felt like it wasnt engaging as quickly as it usualy does, then i pushed in on the pedal and it was sticking a little bit off the floor, then i pushed it in to stop at a light it wouldnt let me shift into gear, i looked at it for a while and discovered that if i hold the shifter almost in first it will slowly start to go and then i can put it into gear but it seems the clutch is stuck engaged and the pedal isnt doing any thing, i was wondering what broke so i can fix it?

You're going to damage your transmission driving it that way. You have a problem with the clutch hydraulics, probably a leak in the master or slave cylinders. Get that resolved before you turn it into megabucks.

You either have a leak at one of the components or a bypassing master cylinder. You're not looking for actual liquid, just a moist spot at the back of the slave or the master.
