1996 Acura RL The car cranks when starting but will not turn over

The car is equipped with an immobilizer system to prevent theft; you should see the key shaped, green indicator in the dashboard on top of the shift selector the light should blink twice then turn off; if you have a programmed key. If it keeps blinking, then you have to get your key programmed by the dealer. Red security light is not from the factory. Sometimes you can disable aftermarket alarms by locking then unlocking the car with the key from the driver's door.
