A bandage will only seal an exhaust leak.... you can still fail MOT for excessive emissions.
Depending on the bandage, it might fail mot because of the fact that it is a temporary repair / fix.
You need to ask a repair shop that is familiar with your MOT Inspection Regulations if a bandage will pass.

Chances are they will fail it because it is a temporary fix.
