My car is having a hard time shifting into gears ( automatic) and makes a chirping noise aswell

My car has been reving up a lot when I'm starting out goes up to sometimes 5000 rmp before shifting into 2nd or third and then makes a weird chirp noise which sounds like it coming from under the hood near the drivers side. I know it's old and a piece of crap but it's all I can affored and I can't take it to a shop. I hope you have some help for me!!!! I would appreciate it sooo much!
