First off we are trying every angle to solve this issue: Lost brake pedal pressure- Brake pedal was losing pressure and occasionally going to the floor before giving any complete stopping power. I was able to pump it a bit to get some push back on the pedal. Bled the brakes yesterday I noticed the front brake pads were gone?

Hi,

Replacing the front brake pads and rotors really isn't too hard. What I do recommend is if you plan to keep the vehicle, make sure to get lifetime parts. That way you won't have to pay for parts again in the future.

As far as front pads, you can expect them to last approximately 25,000 miles. However, that will change based on driving habits and terrain.

To get you started, here is a link that shows in general how it is done. You can use this as a guide.

I attached the directions and pics specific to your vehicle below.

Once the brake caliper is removed, you will need to remove the brake caliper mount. There are two bolts behind the steering knuckle holding it in place. Remove the bolts, remove the mount, and then remove and replace the rotor.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
