The driver side door will not open, we tried to remove the panel but cannot get it all the way off because we cannot open the
door at all. The inside handle or outside handle does not engage. I have had 3 mechanics look at it and they could not get it open at all. Have you ever heard of this and how do I get it open???

When door latch mechanisms give way, sometimes due to a broken return spring for the locking lever, it would prevent the latch from being unlocked.
If you can locate the lock/unlock lever and get it to release, you would be able to open the door. If not, you would need to break the lock.
