I replaced the engine transmission an transfercaes as well,i have put all new parts on engine from seals gaskets ,plugs an wires also cap an rotor button. Also some of the plugs from the wiring harness were different from the motor that was in the truck so all the ones I changed were all the same color wires an I used butt connectors to put wires together,The only wire a connector I had problems with was the Knock sensor connector(this is the one that goes down inside the intake I think that's right).
ihave got the truck to crank an run ,but it is not running very well an will shout off if u don't hit the throttle every few mins.I have also unplugged the TPS plug an it seems to run some what better, but it has no power to more the truck when it is put in gear.I have checked the fuel pressure an its good, have also reset the time by the cap an the crank marks.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what the problem might be.......THANKS JASON

I'm concerned because you mentioned that you had to change wiring connectors. I question if there was a difference between the two designs. Have you confirmed that you are getting good fuel pressure and that something simple, like the catalytic converter, isn't plugged?

Okay, the connectors were the same other than some were broken. (I have to say that the catalytic converter, by federal law, is required on this vehicle). Anyway, is there anything other that is out of the ordinary such as smoke from the exhaust, ticking, knocking...? Do you have access to a real time scanner that we can use to check sensor signals?

If you can get one, lets check to see what the sensors are showing when the engine is running. I would like to know what the TPS is running at, the O2 sensors, CTS...
