95 saturn overheating

Does your a/c work if so turn it on and see if your cooling fan comes on?Also did you replace the top coolant temp sensor or bottom one?

Have you checked to see if the cooling fan 30amp maxi fuse in the under hood fuse box is blown?Also the wires to the cooling fan motor make sure the wires didn't come unsecured and burned against the exhaust manifold.The solid black wire to the cooling fan motor should have a 2ohm or less to ground.The other wire is the power feed if you have a fused jumper wire or a power probe test light that can send power fused jump power to the power wire on the fan motor and see if the fan comes on.If you replace the correct coolant temp sensor then you probably have a problem in the fan circuit or a bad fan motor.Let me know what you find.

weeks ago I replaced bad seized fan motor along with 30a fuse.

The fan motor will only come on if I jump it direct at fan relay socket, or if I unplug connector at coolant sensor(not gauge sensor). I am ready to further diagnose the problem. thanks for your reply

The bottom sensor is the coolant sensor with a black wire going to it and yellow wire going to it.Here's how you test the relay fuse fan motor pcm fan turn on etc.If the a/c compressor turn's on when you turn the a/c on turn it the cooling fan should come on with it.If the a/c compressor doesn't turn on when you turn on the a/c then turn the a/c on find the high low a/c switch which is located on the a/c line by the under hood fuse box.Then unplug the high low switch and use a jumper wire to connect the two terminals together the a/c compressor should come with the cooling fan.Only jump it for a few seconds let me know what happens.

I jumped it for a few seconds and the fan came on along with the AC compressor.

Then your looking at the coolant temp sensor i know you said you replaced it but you could have gotten a bad one or they gave you the one for the gauge by mistake.The fan doesn't come until the gauge reaches at least 3/4 some of them with gauges worn over time the fan doesn't come on till the gauge reaches the tip of the red.The fan comes on between 222-226 degree's.Do you have a scan tool that can read live data on that car?That would really help you see what the computer was reading from the coolant temp sensor.Do you have a temp gun?SO you can watch the temp rise and see when the fan comes on?The gauge sender's go bad every once in a while as well.When the gauge read's about half way the engine temp is about 201 degree's.
