The coolant flow through the radiator is faster at higher rpms. I'd have to double check the temp gage using an infra-red temp gun. Was the cooling sustem flushed?

It might not be a bad idea to flush the whole system. I realize you lose all your antifreeze. You need to safely dispose of the old antifreeze.

Has the thermostat ever been changed? I'd change that also. Is the radiator fan working? Any applicable trouble codes?

no codes and I honestly don't know if it has ever been changed I bought it a month ago barely running for next to nothing and figured if I couldn't make it run I could get my money back in scrap...runs pretty good now did timing chain, and most of the electrical units and coil tower, plugs ...etc...radiator had to be drained while I did the timing...original problem was it would not accelerate...went fine very slow....now it is doing this heating thing and shakes a little in reverse for some reason....

Is the radiator fan running? 95 is a cross-over year, you may have a hybrid datalink connector? You may need a special code reader for that. I don't have one.
