Engine will not start

What do you mean by it will start but not turn over? Will the engine start? Is the problem related to the starter not engaging (hence not turn over)?

The engine swings but does not want to start. And my engine management light stays off and does not go on with all the other dash lights.

Try something for me. See if the engine will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, fuel is not getting to the engine and we can check that next. If it does not start, there is no spark to the plugs.

I have tried what you have said and still nothing. Do you by any chance know why my engine management light will not go on at all.

The light can be an issue with the ECM or something as simple as a bad bulb. Since it does not start with starting fluid, I have to assume there is no spark to the plugs. If you can, confirm that for me. If I am correct, you may have something as simple as a bad crank sensor.

No spark as you said. Is there a way that one can check if the sensor is suspect or not?

The sensor needs to be checked for output. Using a scanner, you should be able to determine if there is a signal or not.

I had this problem is was the crankshaft sensor.
