1995 Oldsmobile Ciera power steering

I have an 95 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera and my power steering pump was whining. . I noticed there was a leak in the high pressure line so I replaced it and the pump itself. Filled the fluids back to recommended amount .. Jacked the car up and bled the system.. turned the car over and still made that noise.. but very minimal. And I noticed there was a couple drips under Meath still but not as bad... so what should I do besides find the leak? And also with all that being saida can I drive it still

yes you can drive it. take your car to a car wash that has the spray head and clean all under the car and bottom of engine around where leak was. it may be residual oil getting off of body frame parts.

Yea.. that was my initial thought as well but with the whining noise still occuring..does the system need to be bled again?

no make sure pump is full then turn to lock one way hold for 30 seconds then go the other way do same. do that three times then check fluid. and don't use ATF as power steering fluid it will make it whine.

no not with it jacked up just on the ground so it puts more pressure to get rid of the air in system. GM or compatible fluid it would say on the bottle.

And if the whining persists then what would you recommend. . I feel like I tried everything that I know so far.

I t may be just to much clearance in the valve inside the pump not much you can do about it.

if you replaced the belt recently the tensioner should be replaced as well that may do it too.

lifespan for both is 60k

it may not be holding enough tension to it but I can't see it so can't give a definite answer. I have no further suggestions.
