95 Cutlass Ciera Blower motor control switch

So do you know its the blower switch for sure?Most of the time you cant take the switch apart and clean them.

I replaced the blower resistor with a brand new one. The switch has 4 settings, low, medium, mediumhigh, and high. They all work except for mediumhigh, which runs at low speed or medium if I put pressure on the switch.

I'm hoping that the relay is good because the motor works on most settings.

The switches are 3-20.00 plus shipping depending upon which one you have i would just replace it.

I replaced the switch, the resistor, and the blower motor is good. If the relay is bad, could it affect only one fan setting?

They relay is only going to affect high what is the fan doing now?

The fix came to me. I guess the med-high wire going from the switch to the resistor was bad, because it had no continuity, and when I bypassed the wire with another from beginning to end it works now. Thanks. All speeds work. (I couldn't find a hole in the firewall, so I had to route the wire through the door jam into the engine compartment where the resistor is.)

You probably had a loose terminal tightness at the switch thats why when you moved the switch around it caused it to work.Glad to hear you got it working though make sure you seal around that wire you fished thru or water can run down the wire inside the car.I would just use some clear silicone that is water proof.
