driver's side inner tie rod to be bent

hi; my question for you is this. I own a 1995 oldsmobile Achieva S. is it common for the driver's side inner tie rod to be bent?I'm trying to determine if I need a new inner tie rod.

To bend one would take a hard hit. The way you can tell if it is bent is to take it to an alignment shop and that will show if the tie rod is bad.
