About 1 month ago it developed a ratting sound in the engine it is okay after 35-40 mikes ph and then at sitting at lights it can be heard again running like a champ has always been a very quit smooth running car can you help

It could be a few things. The cams could be wiped from normal use. The timing chain/belt could need replacing or there are on or more bad lifters.
