1995 Nissan 300 ZX mileage: 170,000. I purchased this car at an auction a couple of weeks ago. I pulled the transmission pan and found some very fine powdered chrome in the pan. I replaced the fluid with Dextron 3. The transmission was slow to engage when stopped if very hot before, now, the transmission is very noisy. I noticed online that there seems to be quite a few service bulletins regarding the automatic transmission fluid. Am I using the correct fluid?
