i have a 1995 mercury mystique my battery light is on and i have already replaced the alternator and my battery is new but it still wont keep a charge can u help

Check for a blown blue 15 amp fuse. If fuses are good, grab an inexpensive digital voltmeter and measure the voltages on the wires to the generator while the engine is running, then holler back with those numbers.
