alternator charging but will not charge battery could it be a wirebroken or corroded

tested alternator twice to be sure, there is awire harness that connect the starter and alternator, car will crank there is no fire getting back to my battery. battery is brand new

does sound like wiring/fuse issue.

so what is voltage at starter? that is where alternator and battery merge.you did test alt voltage on car while running?
