why would my 1995 Lincoln continental air pump work only when it wants to? what would be the problem?

Thats a very broad subject. I would need allot more info to help with this problem. Does the front or rear go down overnight or sooner? When the compressor DOESN'T run, is the check suspension message on also? Let me know and we'll get you working again.
