overheating problem

Is the engine actually overheating?I could have just been a old hose that got weak over time?

the fact that it is overheating is a problem. you have a problem that needs to be resolved and from this hot condition, the pressure rises and the hoses cannot take it. you may have blown a head gasket and compression in the cooling system may be expanding the hoses.

ok the temprature gauge isnt workin but when it gets hot the water boils in the overflow also

how long has it been overheating??

i want to know if u have the procedure to change the temperature sensor

i checked da oil and there is no water mixing with the oil but i know that still doesnt mean the head gasket isnt blown.

but we wanna at least get the temp sensor and gauge workin so we can see what the temperature gauge is sayin

its been doin that for a while he said usually when he run da ac but i told him to stop runni n it all together

So is the radiator fan coming on like its supposed too?

the fan hasnt been working for a while. he said it would only bubble in the overflow after he ran the ac i told him to stop runnin the ac today and c what happens i checked the fuses to the coolant fan and they were ok didnt check the relays didnt really know how. but the fan never comes on but its hooked up.

Check out the sensor and see what you find but without the fan working its going to overheat.Have you tried adding power and ground to the fan to see if it works?

one thing i noticed that was kinda odd was when i put water in the radiator it seemed like there was alot of hot air coming from the top hose causing the water i was tryin to pour in to splash bk out

That is caused by water boiling in the block normally caused by poor circulation and air locks.

so whats the procedure to get rid of that?

Replace thermostat and run with heater on keep an eye on temp and water level, when thermostat opens keep the engine running and add coolant as required ensure heater is hot and run for about 5 min this should ensure all air is bleed from system.

Adding water when its hot like that is a good way to get burned sounds like your trying to add water when its overheating.Also if the radiator fan isnt working doesnt matter if you get all the air out its still going to overheat.I would get the fan working then see whay happens.
