where is the fuel pump situated?

the car will not start and there is no pressure from the fuel pump

Its in the gas tank while cranking the engine to start it and the fuel pressure gauge hooked up.Smack the center of the bottom of the gas tank with the palm of your hand see if you can get fuel pressure that way.If not see if your getting power and ground to the fuel pump while cranking the engine tostart it.
