When I turn left and go over bumps there is a loud grinding noise. I can feel it in the steering wheel, and it seems to get worse with cold weather. I've also noticed that the side of the car that the grinding is coming from sits lower then the other.

Have the control arms, ball joints and struts checked.

I figured it was something like that. I had the direction wrong though, i must have gotten confused when i was reading through other people's questions. It grinds when i turn right and the grinding comes from the left side. When you replace one side isnt it the rule of thumb to replace the other side as well, for the suspension.

That depends on what needs to be replaced. For struts it is usually replaced for both sides. Other components can be replaced as and when necessary.

Now to wait on the money to come in soon to get it checked and repaired. Thank you for the advice.
