Is the timing pointer on a 1995 Safari welded to the timing cover ? Because I was failed on my Smog for not having one according to Smog Tech. Which I did find myself later that day,but just want to know if it has some other part aside from the one welded to the timing cover. Because I have asked 3 different Master techs and they all tell me the same thing that what I have is all that comes on that year vehicle 1995 GMC Safari 4.3 V6 2wd. Please help my vehicle has passed everything else, only thing that failed is the fact that it does not have that timing pointer according to the Smog Tech. Which other Master Techs and myself included have found and seen it welded to the timing cover.
