where to access thermostat cable can i go through back of control panel instead if taking apart dash there was clicking sound like maybe broke plastic blend door but not clicking any more

you don't have a cable it's a blend door for heat and it's vacuum operated. pic enclosed. check for a vacuum leak or motor not working.
