Manual transmission will not engage

2.3 with 5-speed manual. Pulling up to an intersection and shifted into neutral. Down shifted but transmission did not engage. Transmission feels correct shifting with or without engine running. Clutch pedal feels normal. Transmission will shift with or without clutch depressed. The transmission does not engage in any gear. Truck rolls free whether in or out of gear.
If you start the engine, let off of the clutch, rev the engine, and press the clutch slowly you sometimes hear a low noise grind like a transmission trying to go into gear but the noise stops unless you hold the clutch pedal depressed.
It's like everything is working fine the truck just wont go??

pressure plate and/or disc failure. you will need to replace the clutch assembly.
