My 94 aerostar would not stay running. New fuel pump and filter, would not start. It has great air flow, compression, and spark. I test the only injector I can get to and mysteriously the red and white wires are hot meaning it has a power current. Neither wire pulse. I put a new computer in it and it starts but won't run. I tested the injector again and its power to both wires, I dont understand that.Any suggestions are welcome thank you

Did you test wiring with injector plugged in? If so, and there is no ground, both wires will have voltage. Also, You need to check amp draw, I don't think those wires should be hot to the touch.

If you tested unplugged and both wires have voltage. Maybe a problem with wiring connector or ground wire is shorted to voltage?

I never unplugged it from the injector, and its not hot to the touch just a figure of speech when something has power flowing. Should I unplug it and test it.

Any applicable trouble codes? You said it starts but won't run, starting is running?

Do you have a security system on this? You do have voltage at the injector, correct? Then it sounds like the computer isn't grounding the injector for some reason? Can you do an ohmns test on the injectors?

I unplugged the harness from the injector and tested both wires from a ground connection and my test light lit up with each wire I tested. Then I connected my test light to the positive terminal searching for a ground out of the two wires and my test light lit up again meaning there grounded also. Any idea whats going on

If you used a chassis ground with test lite and both wires were hot with key on. The ground may be shorted to voltage? I'd have to check the wiring circuits.
