95 neon

After starting the 95 Dodge Neon it starts smoking and Squealing on the passenger side near the bottom, wondering if the air compressor unit has gone bad?

If it's the AC compressor it should stop squealing if you turn the heater off. The AC runs in defrost mode to remove moisture from the air before it blows it onto the cold windshield where it would condense.

Also check the engine mounts. If the passenger side is sitting low, the crankshaft pulley could rub on the plastic splash shield.

Thanks, right after you start is when it starts squealing and smoke like its tearing the belt up. I will check the mounts also. Thanks again
