The engine runs rich and stalls often at low rpms

The engine is a 1994 5.7L with a 700r4 in my 1995 Siverado. The engine runs okay at times but soon will cut off and has to be restarted. All the transmission will not shift unless i ease up on the gas. Ichecked the diagnostic on hte computer and a Code 15 shows up. Will this affect both or what do I need?

check to make sure your coolant snesor is getting 5 volts-yellow wire- if it is replace the coolant sensor.

will this affect both the stalling and shifting?

it wont let teh computer read that the engine is warm so you will use more fuel and it could poossibly cause your other problems. youneed to fix that first. also clean your thottle plate and iac valve with choke cleaner on both sides.
