what is average cost to replace a fuel injector in a 1995 chevy s10? my pick up starts on some days and not on others; mechanic says a i need a new fuel injector and cost is $1200-$1300. does this sound right?

Fuel injectors cost about $80 and take about 30 to 45 minutes to replace if you know what you are doing. If you have never done it before, I can take you about an hour and a half to replace it, but it is very simple to replace. Check out ehow.com and you can watch a video clip on how to replace one.
