How do I remove the headlight switch once I have the Dash trim ring off?

I want to check the headlight switch as I have no dash lights. There are no mounting screws for the headlight switch that I can find. How do I remove it, so I can check power out of the switch to the instrument lights? Thank you.

You need to remove the switch from under the dash. There is a retainer there that holds the switch in place.

Thank you, but how do I actually remove it? I removed the trim ring, and I can not see anyway to get it out. There are no visible screws to remove. Do I pry it out, or just yank it out? I do not want to break it. Thank you!

See the attached pic. Is that the switch you have? If so, look at the side view and you will see the clips that hold it in place.

Hi Jacobandnicholas. Thank you,but that is not the switch in my 1995 Lumina. The one I have is a in the attachment. Sorry the picture is not very good. It is a low res from a website. its a rotary switch with a dimmer wheel on the left all in one unit. Again thanks for any help you can give me.
