Drove vehicle for over an hour. When restarting, found that vehicle was in "Limp Mode" (2nd & reverse only). Also found that tach & speedo weren't working on my tilt-steering equipped truck, when wheel tilted all the way down, but worked when in up positions...indicating to me a broken wire. Pulled Steering column covers and found a (Pink/White) broken wire on bottom of starter switch on right side of column below key switch, but found no location for it to go. Checked diagrams, and found if connected to Pink wire, this resolved tach & speedo...but not Limp Mode issue. Where else might I check to bring voltage back to Sol. A & Sol. B in trans for shifting? Related issue? Or just a coincidence?

Thanks

it could be related.i'd check wires at trans plug to make sure they are all getting voltage. Also check your fuses in the underhod relay center, especially ecm1 and trans fuses. one may be blown.
