knock

someone borrowed my 95 cav and the throttle got stuck and they overrevved the engine untile they got it back.now there is a knock.it sounds like it is coming from the top of the head like its a lifter or rocker hitting the cover.it is the 2.2 in line engine.is this what it is or is it soomething more

What you need to do is open it up and investigate-run the engine while you check it-its gonna be hot and messy

ok popped the cover off and the rockers all look good.i guess the next step would be the head unless u have any ideas
