BMW Door locks

Just bought a 1995 5251 and can't figure out how the door locks work. All doors except drivers can be locked manually. Drivers door lock won't depress. I have 2 keys, which work in the trunk lock and ignition, but neither key will turn in either of the door locks. Help?

The possibility might be that the ignition and the trunk locks are not original to the car. The drivers door has a locking mechanism that can be quite tricky to repair. My question is, how is the car being secured and did the seller present it to you in this condition?
