thinking of buying a bmw but it has a problem with the ignition its stuck in position 2, any idea how much it will cost to fix?

To replace the ignition lock assembly usually takes a couple hours and the parts are about $150 retail. Here is the part number for the steering lock 32321093265 Realoem.com has an exploded view.
