Often this is dirt and muck in the window channel, there are specific lubes for window channels, i use dry glide, don't know if you can get it where you live as i am in Australia, do not use crc type sprays as they will collect more dirt and make things worse.

car that old the rubber parts get stiff and put up more resistance.i use silicone spray to help out windows roll up easier. other factors come into play also like worn regulators that go out of alignment with use.
