DTC 52 - KNOCK SENSOR SIGNAL (1.8L)

DTC 52 is set when ECM detects an open or short in the knock sensor circuit with engine speed between 1200-6000 RPM. Check for open or short in knock sensor circuit, a loose or faulty knock sensor of faulty ECM.

This code is for a knock sensor, before doing anything i would clear the code and test drive then re scan with an OBD11 scanner report back if there is a new code set.

Hi,
If not wrong my car cannot use any scan tools for scanning. I only found a diagnostic socket in front engine part. Can it be scan using scan tools?

Thanks.

Leaving the check connector in will not do any harm. Do not leave it in there all the time, but for testing it is not a problem.

Disconnecting the battery would reset the error code.

Either pulling the EFI fuse or disconnecting the battery is the only way.

I try pulling the EFI fuse, but I found the fault code still exist although I have not tried the car yet. Does that make sense?
