what are the 2 small side ports for on a 94 saturn sohc throttle body? one of mine is completely gunked up

I need more details There is a plate on the back side of the throttle when it is mounted with three vacuum nipple's?Is that what your talking about?

The diagram you posted is not very detailed but from what i see there supposed to be on each side of the throttle shaft?I don't see them in my diagram or remembering seeing them on the last throttle body on the saturn i looked at.Can you post a actual picture of it?Also there isn't going to be a vacuum port that is just wide open without a nipple and a hose going on it.On that throttle body there is a vacuum plate on the side facing the firewall with three vacuum ports on it those are the only vacuum ports on that throttle body.
