I have a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am, 2.3 engine, SOHC, quad 4. Went to start it and all of a sudden it spins freely, sometimes backfiring, but will not start. Put a code tester on it and get code 42. Want to find out if there is a way to test to make sure the timing chain is working properly. Or anything else you may suggest.
