The frame is rusted and therefore, the steering is affected. I was told it was the sub frame. Can this be repaired without enormous cost?

What do you mean? Do I need to replace the frame? I was told it was not the subframe.

The body shop said that the frame has to be repaired by welding it. Therefore, the motor has to lifted. The repair quote was a $1,000.

This is to expensive for a old car.

if the motor has to be lifted thenit's the subframe that is shot or rusted through that is what the motor, trans, and front suspension bolts to. the picture I'm sending is off a 2003 but it is the same piece for illustration. everything bolts to that.

Therefore, I have to replace the sub frame. I received a quote from a salvage yard of $150 for the sub frame. Will you provide me with probably cost for labor to do a job like this.

The mechanic said that it was the frame and I would have to go to a body shop The body shop provided a quote of $1000. I can not afford that.
I have a picture of the problem. Can I send it to you? After seeing it you can tell me if it really the sub frame of the frame.

Look forward to your response. I need my vehicle.

Thank you.

send thepicture but we can't give labor for that as we don't have anything like that in our books that is more of a body shop thing. check around you might find a cheaper price
