accelerate it has no power then stalls

My car idles fine but only after driving for 20 minutes when I stop at a lighter and try to accelerate it has no power then dies but it will start bac

My car runs and idles fine till I go to acelerates from a complete stop it acts like it doessnt have power then dies and wont start up right away but will after a few minutes the if I stop at a light again it does it again at the next light or as I drive but if I park it and let it sit till cools down will rill run fine for 15 min I need suggestions I dnt have alot of money to b changin a bunch of parts
