How do I remove the torque converter on my 1994 plymoth sundance

I don't think it needs to come out to replace the oil pan gasket. You should be able to get to all the pan bolts. If you can't, try losening the trans bolts so it opens up enough to get to the bolts. As far as the torque converter, you have to remove the trans to get it out. It is bolted to the flywheel.

To get to the gasket you have to remove the oil pan

Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery cable, and remove engine oil dipstick. Drain crankcase. Remove oil pan bolts and oil pan.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply RTV sealant at front crankshaft seal retainer-to-cylinder block oil pan surfaces. Apply RTV sealant at end of oil pan gasket end seals and cylinder block pan rail. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

I tried following that process and the oil pan wouldn't budge when I consulted Autozone they said I had to remove the Torque Converter

Are you sure you got all the bolts off? That is all that holds it in place.

Look for an inspection cover-open it up -you have to remove the torque converter bolts from the crankshaft and also unbolt the transmission from the engine-

Can you see the end of the oil pan on the rear of the engine.

Even the oil pump R/R it doesn't say you have to remove the TC-remember you're dealing only with the gasket So if Autozone says you have to remove it, then ask them how-We have giving you all we got

Sometimes it just needs some strong elbow and a good prybar -they get stubborn sometimes to pop open like its welded on check if you got all the bolts -
